INGREDIENTS
THE HONEY GARLIC SAUCE
Honey – This is must-have for the Honey Sauce. Any kind of Honey should work.
Garlic – It provides a wonderful garlicky flavor
Light Soy Sauce – This is one of the must-have Asian sauces that you need to have in your kitchen. Lee Kum Kee is my favorite brand for this.
Cornstarch – Cornstarch is widely used in Asian cooking. It is also called corn flour.
Rice Vinegar – This is a common vinegar that we use in Asian cooking. If you can’t find it, you can use White Vinegar.
Sesame Seed Oil – It adds a unique flavor to the dish. We love to use this to add additional aroma to the dish in Asian cooking.
MARINADE
Salt & Black Pepper – The classic combo of seasonings that just make everything tastes better!
Cornstarch – Cornstarch is a secret in Asian cooking. It is also called corn flour.
Chinese Cooking Wine – This is commonly used in marinating meat in Asian cooking. I use Shaoxing Wine.
OTHER INGREDIENTS
Tiger Shrimp – Always use large shrimp for satisfying bites. The shrimp should be peeled and deveined.
Vegetable Oil – I like to use Rapeseed Oil. You can use Sunflower Oil too. Do not use Olive OIl.
Green Onions – or called Spring Onions. I like to use this for garnishing at the end. It adds beautiful green color and it is rich in healthy nutrients.
Sesame Seeds – use the roasted kind. I also love this for garnishing the dish.

HAINI’S TIPS
1. Remember to always use large Shrimp for the most satisfying bites. 2. If you don’t have Rice Vinegar, you can substitute with White Vinegar. 3. Do not overcook the Shrimp during the first cooking process as the Shrimp will be cooked again. 4. When cooking the sauce, you can decide on how thick you like the sauce to be by adding a bit more or reduce a bit less coking time.
Not only is this shrimp dish incredibly delicious, but it’s also a healthy choice for busy weeknights. Shrimp are packed with lean protein and essential nutrients, and the light sauce keeps things wholesome while still tasting indulgent. Serve it over steamed rice, toss it with noodles, or enjoy it alongside your favorite veggies for a complete, satisfying meal.
