Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti

If you have followed my recipes for a while, you will know that I am a big fan of fusion food of all kinds, especially fusion noodles. This Chinese-Korean Spicy Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti is another sensational combo that you have to try!

You can taste the chewy-yet-tender texture of the spaghetti noodles along with the spicy-creamy-garlicky flavors. A mouthful of bouncy Shrimp satisfies your taste buds even more. I have made a similar version of an Asian-Italian Spaghetti (Garlic Butter Spaghetti with Red Chili Oil) earlier. If you are interested, try both versions, and see which one is your favorite.

HOW TO MAKE THIS SPICY GARLIC SHRIMP SPAGHETTI

1. Make the Spicy Garlic Butter Sauce – In a frying pan, on medium heat, add the Unsalted Butter and Olive Oil. Once melted, add the Garlic. Gently stir well until fragrant. Then add the Chili Flakes. Continue to stir. Add in Oyster Sauce, Light Soy Sauce, and Gochujang. Simmer and combine well for 1 – 2 minutes. Turn the heat off and set aside.
2. Cook the Shrimp – In another frying pan, add in the Vegetable Oil, on medium-high heat. Then add in the Shrimp. Cook the Shrimp for 2-3 minutes until nicely pink and cooked through. Sprinkle pinches of Salt and Black Pepper on top. Transfer the Shrimp to a bowl and set aside.
3. Cook the Spaghetti – Boil a pot of salted water and cook the Spaghetti untilย al denteย according to the package instruction.
4. Reheat the Sauce – Reheat the Spicy Garlic Butter Sauce on medium-high heat. Add the cooked Spaghetti directly into the pan.
5. Assemble the dish – Cook and stir for about 2 minutes until everything is well combined. The sauce will get thicker and looks glossy. Add in the cooked Shrimp. Gently stir well. Then add in some chopped Green Onions. Gently combine. Then add a little pasta water to help adjust the taste and to get the consistency that you like
6. Ready to serve – Place the Spaghetti on a serving plate. Garnish with more chopped Green Onions and Parmesan Cheese. Ready to enjoy!
