This Chinese Fried Tofu Recipe is not only easy to make, but it tastes absolutely Yum! Tofu was one of my favorite childhood dishes. It still is.

I always love Tofu particularly for it’s softness. I am a big fan of beans-related food. Tofu is actually bean curd.

Tofu originates in Anhui province, China. The history of Tofu dates back to Han Dynasty some 2,000 years ago. Since then, Tofu has spread across Asia and become an important part of regional food culture.

There are so many ways to cook Tofu. I have decided on one of the easiest ways. You can always adjust to your own taste by increasing or decreasing the amount of salt and number of peppers.

Why Tofu is good for you?

Tofu is not only healthy but also tastes delicious. It is low in calories, high in iron, while containing a relatively large amount of protein.

What kind of Tofu should you use?

For this Chinese Fried Tofu recipe, I highly recommend that you use a Firm Tofu, because they are less fragile than other kinds. You can see the label on the package when you purchase Tofu in your supermarkets. If you buy your Tofu in a market, ask the vendor for Firm or Hard Tofu which is good for frying.
